Ocean Park
The theme park currently has 19 rides, including two rollercoasters, but also houses 11 animal exhibits, such as a Giant panda habitat, a jelly fish and Chinese sturgeon aquarium, as well as a four-story aquarium displaying more than 2,000 fish.
Besides being an amusement park, Ocean Park Hong Kong also operates observatories, well developed laboratories, an education department and a Whales and Dolphins Fund.
Ocean Park Hong Kong was the first institution in the world to have success in artificial insemination of bottlenose dolphins, and developed numerous new breeds of goldfish. - Source - Wiki
In the morning however, I happened to find a snail that caught my attention. It was rather massive and had a strange shell. I still have no idea what it actually is, breed wise.
Upon arriving on Hong Kong island to meet my friend Becky to go to Ocean park together, we caught sight of this dead fish in the sea. It was Massive! No idea how it died or what type it is. Looks a bit like a shark?

The first exhibit we rushed to when we got to Ocean park was the Panda enclosure - to try get there early and avoid the crowds. We were super lucky and managed to see 1 of the 3 pandas there up close. Just as we were standing in front of it's enclosure, it got let out of the back sleeping area and walked down to the glass at the front to eat the food placed there.
I managed to take consecutive photos above to make a little animated gif. We watched the Panda for quite a while and they are just really large. We also saw these adorable toys in the gift shop - didn't buy them though.
Seals next. Within the seal area you can go downstairs and view the seals underwater. We saw 2 seals playing, twirling around each other and nibbling at each others flippers.
This seal seemed particularly friendly and basically sat next to the window watching 2 children and their soft drink bottles.
Taking a break from Animals, we went to ride the Mine Train. This ride contains a few drops and it's most exciting spot is a large spiral leaning over the South China Sea. On the train before us, we spotted this man, who was so scared he was praying. We all clapped when he made it back alive.
After this we went to the area which I was anticipating greatly - the Jelly Fish area. It was really amazing - there were just rooms with walls full of Jelly Fish. They look very graceful.

We took the cable cars back over the mountain towards the "Amazing Asian Animals".
There was another panda in the "Amazing Asian Animals" which was sleeping very lazily. There were also 2 Red Pandas which were so adorable, they were running so quickly around their pen. They came up close to us and started eating the bamboo that was piled near us.
There were also a large array of goldfish. These two below are called Lion Mane Goldfish.
It was a great day - super hot and sunny. Got completely sunburnt with a horrifying tan line -in the shape of the v-neck top I was wearing.
