Day 9
Today was a bit of a lazy day - we both stayed at home. Our very suave office in the TV room, with a very sexy desk (ironing board).
We spent the morning there and spent the afternoon cleaning our fishpond. That consists of draining the pond to about 5 inches of water and scrubbing the sides, stones and floor clean of algae - as well as picking up all the rotten leaves at the bottom.
Day 10
7.1 Protests
On July 1st 1997, Hong Kong was handed back over to China. This day is a day for Hong Kong citizens to come out onto the street to protest to the government for things they want changed.
Becky, Jamie and I started off in Times Square. Meeting Ben, Evan and Piet along the way.
We joined the Protest walk soon after. There were a ridiculous amount of police there handling the crowd - it seemed excessive.
There was also a magnificent sunset that night while we sat outside the convention center.
